Before you step into the role of caregiver, contact us.

We can make the transition smoother for you and your loved one!

An RBACC practitioner will visit your home to meet and discuss the specific needs and issues of caregiving with the entire family, including the individual receiving the care. Some areas we can review include:
  • The individual’s overall health. Are there balance or mobility problems, is there a decrease in strength? Would the individual benefit from seeing a medical specialist for a specific health issue?
  • The accessibility of the home. Are there changes to make so the individual will be safer and more independent.
  • Strategies the caregiver can embrace to ensure balance in their own life. Have they developed a "back-up" plan? How long can they reasonably sustain current levels of caregiving before burnout?
  • Assistance programs. We know the system. Many families are unsure of what government and social agency services exist or even what their eligibility for these services may be.
We'll help you answer these questions and more. Together, we will determine potential challenges and problem areas. We’ll recommend ways to make caregiving less stressful and care for the individual more effective.
